Amateur radio exam generator - Amateur radio operator certificates
Today, there are over , people who hold an amateur radio license. There are two main reasons for this renewed interest in ham radio. The first one is the decision by the Federal Communications Commission in to stop requiring ham operators to know how to send and interpret Morse code. For decades, a person had to pass a Morse code test in order to receive a license. When the requirement was dropped, a lot more people began applying for a ham radio license.
Getting a ham radio license can open up a whole new world of discovery, community, friendship, and public service. They can take part in contests with their fellow hams, meet each other in person, and even attend ham conventions with hundreds or even thousands of other ham radio enthusiasts. During natural disasters and other emergencies, ham operators can literally save lives, as they are often called upon to perform vital communication services when all others are inoperable.
Practice exams are for those people who would like to study for a new US amateur radio license class. The questions contained within are provided by the ARRL Organization and are selected from the same sub-elements that would be used for an official license examination. The Volunteer Examiner committee is responsible for the creation and maintainance of the question pool. The complete question pools are available on the ARRL website.
